Import Customers with Excel

You can import a customer list that has been exported from another CRM into an Excel spreadsheet.Your spreadsheet MUST be saved in 97-2003 format. The column titles must first be modified to match the Service Estimator field names as defined below: A template named 'Customer Import Template.xls' has been provided for you and is located in the Service Estimator folder at C:\Service Estimator

 

 

FIELD NAMES: ALL FIELDS ARE REQUIRED WHETHER OR NOT THEY CONTAIN DATA

CustomerID - MUST be left blank

ProspectStatus - MUST be left blank

CustName - The company name. This would be the "Bill To" company name.

CustAddress - The first address line.

CustAddress2 - The second address line is used for Suite, Apt, Floor, etc. Can be left blank

CustCity - The city or town address.

CustState - The two-character state abbreviation.

CustZip - The zip code can be either the main five digits or the full 10 characters (i.e. 45062-0260).

CustContact - The name of the primary contact for this customer

Dear - MUST be left blank

LastMeetingDate - MUST be left blank

ReferredBy - MUST be left blank

CustContactTitle - The professional title of the contact person

CustTelephone - The customer's primary telephone number

CustExtension - The customer's telephone extension Can be left blank

CustFax - The customer's fax number

CustMobile - The customer's mobile telephone number

CustPager - Can be left blank

CustEmail - The customer's contact email address

CustNotes - MUST be left blank

Date-Created - MUST be left blank
